Tel Aviv Walking Tour

We will enter the Shalom Tower which was built on the site of the first Hebrew gymnasium and is Israel's first skyscraper. We will visit the museum inside this tower where a model of the city is placed, you will learn about the first Hebrew speaking Gymmasium, the birth of the state of Israel and the first Hebrew-speaking city, Tel Aviv. Our walking tour will begin at the house of Akiva Veis, the initiator of the city and then the first kiosk. You will hear the story of Achuzat Bait which is the group that established the city of Tel Aviv. On the Rothchild Boulevard we view the "White City", the Bauhaus buildings.which are UNSCO World Cultural Heritage site, the Russian Embassy, and the Tel Aviv Community Office Building. Next you will see the Beit Ha-Atzmaut Museum, the house of the first Major of Tel Aviv, the first kiosk, and the house of Akiva Veis, the initiator of the city. The hustle and bustle, vibrant noise, colors and smells, as well as its reputation as the largest authentic Middle-Eastern style shuk in Tel Aviv, all combine to make the Carmel Market a favorite place for everyone from first time tourists visiting the city, to locals who come here to get the freshest fruit and vegetables, and some of the cheapest products in the city. Finally, we will walk to Neve Zedek, which is the first Jewish neighborhood outside Jaffa, then to the Ha-Tachana, which is the renovated train station of the train to Jerusalem.
