Dead Sea Tour
The Dead Sea is a popular tourist destination, and for good reason. Not only is it a beautiful sight, it's also a very calming and healing place. If you are booking a Jerusalem walking tour, consider adding a Dead Sea tour to your itinerary. Here are three reasons you won't be disappointed with this choice. 1. It's One of the Lowest Points on Earth The Dead Sea, though it's actually categorized as a lake, sits nearly 1,400 feet below sea level. The water itself is over 1,000 feet deep. When we drive along the highway next to the Dead Sea, that's already 1,300 feet below sea level. Because of the amount of sinkholes we won't be stopping along the highway until we reach the designated beach area where it's safe. 2. You Can Float Unassisted Because the Dead Sea is so full of salt, it allows for us humans to float without any support. Be sure to pack your swimsuit when you book a Dead Sea tour because we will stop and take the time to float in the water for a while before we head back to the hotel. 3. The Salt and Mud Can Heal You Many people come to visit the Dead Sea because of its natural healing properties. The water contains minerals such as magnesium, bromide, and sodium which are great at treating conditions like psoriasis and dry skin. The Dead Sea also contains rich mud which you can use to cover your skin and then rinse off in the water. Going on a Dead Sea tour is often my guests' favorite experience during their trip to Israel. If you'd like to add this to your bucket list, book your Jerusalem walking tour with me today! If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to email me!
